    Type 2 Diabetes

Type 2 diabetes causes a build-up of fatty deposits in the arteries and because of these people with the condition are up to five times more likely to have a heart attack or stroke.

There are several risk factors for developing type 2 diabetes, including:

    • Age – being over the age of 40
    • Genetics – having a close relative with the condition
    • Weight – being overweight or obese
    • Ethnicity – being South Asian, Chinese, African-Caribbean or black African origin
    • High blood glucose levels – Known as pre-diabetes, this is when your blood glucose levels are higher than normal.

Approximately 1 in 3 UK adults is currently in the 'pre-diabetes' category.

If you have pre-diabetes it means your blood sugar levels are too high, and you have a greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes or even heart disease. Natural supplements can help to control the level of sugar in your blood so it does not reach a dangerous level.Bio-Gluco Control
