Benefits in Research
Post-menopausal women
One study was designed to evaluate the effectiveness of Lady Prelox for improving/controlling sexual dysfunction (SD) in post-menopausal women. The Lady Prelox and placebo groups were comparable at beginning the trial with regard to the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) score.

Throughout the trial (beginning at 4 weeks) there was a significant improvement in the Lady Prelox group, which sustained until completion of the eight-week trial period, compared to the placebo group 1.
Subjective benefits included increased sexual desire, confidence and levels of arousal.

Perimenopausal women
A separate double-blind study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of Lady Prelox when used by perimenopausal women with sexual function impariment, aged 40-50.
Women were randomly assigned to either treatment for eight weeks with Lady Prelox group or with placebo. Menopausal symptoms were explained using the established Women’s Health Questionnaire and Kupperman’s menopause rating scale. Women’s sexual function was studied using FSFI.
In the placebo group, there was no significant improvement in FSFI score from the beginning of trial, throughout the 8-week duration. The scores for Lady Prelox after four and eight weeks of treatment were statistically significantly higher than in the placebo group.
A detailed examination of the different domains of the FSFI suggests that Lady Prelox significantly improves all “desire”, “arousal”, “lubrication”, “orgasm”, “satisfaction” and “pain”. Comparatively, the domains “orgasm” and “satisfaction” were found to improve most prominently 2.

Premenopausal women
A further study aimed to evaluate the effects of Lady Prelox when used by women of reproductive age with sexual function impairment. Women were treated for eight weeks with either Lady Prelox or placebo tablets with identical appearance. The Lady Prelox and placebo-treated groups were comparable at the beginning as measured by FSFI score.
In the placebo group, there was no significant increase from baseline throughout the eight weeks, though the Lady Prelox group experienced an increase in FSFI score after 4 and 8 weeks. Major areas of improvement include sexual desire, satisfaction and sexual satisfaction in the relationship 3.
