Have you ever experienced a client that just seemed resistant to change?
Katie Sheen did while working as a Nutritional Therapist. This was a catalyst for Katie to become interested in behaviour and eventually, an experienced mindfulness teacher. Katie is able to guide others to meaningfully support their clients, enabling them to overcome common psychological and behavioural barriers to the changes we recommend as part of nutritional protocols.
Katie qualified from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) in 2008, developing her private practice with a focus on mental health whilst gradually moving into teaching full time. She is an accredited Breathworks ‘Mindfulness for Health’ Teacher, also offering courses in the Plum Village tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
Fascinated by the mind-body interplay and drawing on 20 years of experience in cancer support, she began to weave mindfulness into nutritional protocols whilst Module Leader for Complex Case Analysis on the MSc Nutritional Therapy course at the University of Worcester
in 2011.
